The tsesay girl’s strong, edgy and experimental personality comes through in Fall ’08 through the collection’s graphic plaids and boucle outerwear, twisting and air spun wovens, and soft ruffling silks.

Her eclectic style is pulled together through chunky hand knits. Offered as outerwear, dresses, sweaters and layering pieces, the chunky knits tame the sharp shapes and strengthen the soft, draping silhouettes. Key colors of the season were inspired by Howard Hodgkin and include bold reds and gold working back to a palette of camel, graphite and indigo.

I was always being creative and designing as a child, so I knew I wanted work in the arts somehow. I also hated the idea of wearing a uniform to work everyday-- designers can pretty much wear what they like!

For me, its less about an individual piece, and more about the collection coming together as a whole. I always like my last collection best.

Kate Moss and Carine Roitfeld never get it wrong.

The choice of everything, the weather (I grew up in England in the rain!), the people, and the fact that you can be at the beach or mountains in an hour.
