1920s Art Deco / Flapper style and my Nanna Manning.
What do you like most about living in Chicago?
The Summers. They are the only thing that motivate me through the unbearable Winters.
What is your favorite book?
I Like You, by Sandal Stoddard Warburg. It is supposed to be a childrens' book but it is a truly heart warming love story. It is the book that "Romeo would have given Juliet. Charlie Brown would have given Snoopy."
What is your favorite object in your home?
My grandmother's burled walnut dining room table.
Do you have a fashion icon?
Cate Blanchett. While maintaining her status as an unbelievable actress, she also manages to maintain a very unique style. She's always stunning, and willing to take risks. Sometimes she absolutely nails it, and other times she is a miss. But no matter what, she does it with porcelain elegance and confidence.
If you weren't a designer what would you be?
An interior designer. Or a break dancer. |
