What was your inspiration for the Fall 2008 Collection?
Musculature// VPL Fall/Winter 2008
VPL revisits the anatomical voyage following the inspirations of Hans Bellmer and Louise Bourgeois; Both of whom have a deep and abstract fascination with the female form. Bellmer’s muscular delineation and Bourqeois’s glandular forms inspired this season’s love for body geography.
I am always inspired by medical concepts: sutures and stitches, surgical colors, etc. I always pull inspiration from anatomical concepts or body geography, leading to the theme of Musculature.
